Waves was our second 3D visualization. It showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average over 30 years from 1970 to 1999.

It was not just an information report, but also a representation of what traders are feeling when the index is going up and down.

Waves also paused at certain historical events to show correlation between an event and the price of the index.

Waves like Roots was also displayed at the Goldman Sachs Trading Center on a SGI Supercomputer. We used Bezier curves to render the 3D surface.
